My first impression with my results was, "Wow! I've got a lot of work to do!"

But again, and Dan I don't mean to be critical, but I think you should emphasize that this data is nothing more than "indicators" and that us human users need to keep one thing foremost, and that is ask ourselves, "Is this natural? How can I use the indicators to make my site more natural?"

Here's why. I have a 5-page micro-niche site with each page built on one KW phrase. As an example, in the report one KW under "H1 Headings" was 'green' and with another KW it was 'red.' So just because the number of word totals don't match up with the "Avg Comp" doesn't "necessarily" mean that I need to change it. I need to ask myself "If I change will it feel, sound, look "naturally better". I may find that not changing will be better.

Please Dan, let me know if I'm getting the hang of this. If I'm not of the right mindset, please let me know. Love this course and I'm learning a lot.

Conducting on-page SEO audits of websites is the core function of WebSite Auditor. It checks websites and generates comprehensive data on a number of on-page optimization factors.

So far I'm enjoying all of the SEO PowerSuite programs except for Website Auditor. It seems to have a bug in it which causes it to freeze after step 4, and I can't get a response from tech support. I don't want to throw out the baby with the bath water, but I really could use some help here.

@Phil Dwyer

It can mean any or both. Check if this keyword is being searched for - that's the only way to see if it's worth working at.
You can use Google AdWords Keyword Tool for that (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal) - or Rank Tracker (http://www.link-assistant.com/rank-tracker/).

Hi Dan

If your competition is not using your keyword it obviously shows up on the report as needing action. Does this mean that the keyword needs to be changed or would it be by some miracle that I have chosen a unique keyword no one has thought of?

Regards

Phil

Anna,

It's all right to have 1-3 keyphrases. Actually, in most casses (including this one) you can think of keywords and keyphrases as synonyms. Just make sure your keyphrases flow naturally in your text and you're safe to go.

Hi Dan,
I have a question. At step two in the WebSite Auditor you're told it is best to target 1-3 keywords. Is 1-3 keyphrases too much?
Thanks
